The Student Systems Implementation Team

This team shoulders the direct operational responsibility for the shared decisions of the Colleague implementation process of Recruitment/Admissions, Financial Aid, Correspondence Control, Registrar, Campus Organizations, Residence Life, Degree Audit/Advisement, and interfaces with the Business/Finance/Bursar's Office. This team serves as the coordinator and promoter of student system implementation issues and is the first point of escalation for conflicts and unresolved decisions from the module teams. Additional responsibilities include the following:

  • Make shared code file decisions.
  • Propose policy on shared data definitions and data flow.
  • Analyze existing processes and determine a course for change where process improvements can be accomplished.
  • Identify module level team members and tasks.
  • Support cross module learning within and between offices.
  • Document calendar events critical to the implementation project.
  • Identify and recommend interdepartmental reporting needs.
  • Build conversion plans including specifying test cases.
  • Select scenarios and appropriate data to use in the Mock Registration.
  • Provide scheduled status reports to the project manager and Implementation Project Team.

The Student Services Application Team oversees the eight Module Teams, which have been established. These teams include the Department Manager, decision makers, and selected others who will decide the use of the new software to meet institutional goals. The Module Teams serve as the first point of escalation for issues uncovered by the end users.
